WALL REINFORCEMENT

Strong Behind

Avail rails and seats are only as strong as the wall they are installed onto.

If wall studs are not in correct locations noggins may need to be added, if access can be gained from the other side of the wall this can save pulling tiles off. If the wall is masonry/brick the installation is simple with screws and wall plugs.

For public buildings we recommend the wall is reinforced with noggins or installed into wall studs for each bracket.

For private bathrooms the weight and strength of the user needs to be considered, usually we recommend installation into the wall studs at each bracket however some installers will install into just tiles depending on the customer and bathroom.

TORMENTED BY THE TOILET?

Sit & Stand

The toilet can be very difficult to lower yourself onto and stand back up from.

A simple solution is a grab rail with a toilet roll holder, this is quick to install.

If you need extra assistance when sitting/standing an angled rail is a great option.

SLIPPIN’ IN THE SHOWER?

Bend, Turn, Sit and Stand

For the shower you may consider installing a shower seat and adjustable shower rail so you can reach the shower head when sitting, a foot rest to help reach your feet and a vertical rail at the entry into the shower to avoid slipping on wet floor.

If you are using a shower seat (or will in the future) an angled or TBar shower rail might suit best to help you sit and stand.
