While a commode chair isn’t for everyone, for some it’s the support that allows them to get back to doing what they love most.
Recently, we saw one of our commode chairs doing something pretty special, it was out on a fishing boat.
That might not be the first place you imagine a commode chair. But that’s exactly the point.
When age or disability begins to make everyday tasks harder, it’s not just bathroom routines that are affected. Confidence drops. Outings feel more complicated. Favorite hobbies start to feel out of reach.
And sometimes, those hobbies are the things that matter most.
For this dad living with Parkinson's, he shared his thoughts:
“Having the chair on the boat just made it easier. I could enjoy the day with my son and not have to worry.”
Having the right equipment can mean the difference between staying home and getting out. In this case, a commode chair provided the practical support needed to make the trip possible. It offered safety, dignity and reassurance, not just for him, but for the people around him too.
It’s easy to see equipment as just that… equipment.
But sometimes it’s the reason someone gets back on the boat.
Back to their favorite spot.
Back to feeling like themselves again.
While a commode chair isn’t for everyone, for some it’s the support that makes getting out, and living well, possible.
